Why prep for CMFAS with CMFAS KAKI?
From single-question drills to full timed mock exams — every step maps to the CMFAS syllabus.
Drill CMFAS mock questions, one at a time
CMFAS papers are multiple-choice, which makes them ideal for repeated drilling. Answer a question, see the correct option and a short explanation immediately, and the reasoning sticks far faster than re-reading a study guide.
- Sorted by paper: RES 5, M9, M9A and HI
- Realistic multiple-choice CMFAS practice questions
- See the correct answer and the reasoning instantly
Concise study notes for every topic
Before you drill, you need the concepts. CMFAS KAKI pairs each paper with tight, exam-focused notes — the key rules, definitions and product features distilled down — so you can read a topic, then test yourself on it right away.
- Rules, definitions and key concepts distilled
- Covers financial advisory, life and health insurance
- Read a note, then jump straight into questions
An ILP combines insurance protection with investment in sub-funds. The policy value moves with the funds, so the investment risk generally sits with the policyholder rather than the insurer.
Full mock exams, scored like the real thing
The thresholds are high: RES 5 requires at least 75% in Part I and 80% in Part II, while M9, M9A and HI require 70%. Mock-exam mode assembles a full timed paper, marks it the moment you submit, and shows exactly which topics pulled your score down.
- Separate mock papers for RES 5, M9, M9A and HI
- Timed sittings with an instant score
- Spot your weak topics the moment you submit
Every question you miss comes back
Questions you get wrong are collected automatically. In the run-up to exam day you can drill nothing but your weak spots — the fastest way to lift a borderline score over the line.
- Missed questions saved automatically
- Bookmark tricky ones to revisit
- Revise only what you still get wrong
Study anywhere, with no ads
Questions are cached after the first load, so you can practise on the MRT or over a coffee with no connection. No pop-up ads interrupt you — just clean, focused practice.

Frequently asked questions
When is the app launching? Is it free?
CMFAS KAKI is available now on the App Store and Google Play. On download you get a free trial allowance so you can try the practice questions, mock exams and wrong-answer review before deciding to upgrade.
Which CMFAS papers does the app cover?
You can currently switch between four papers in one app: RES 5 (Rules, Ethics and Skills for financial advisory), M9 and M9A (Life Insurance and Investment-Linked Policies), and HI (Health Insurance). M8A (Collective Investment Schemes II) is on the way.
Are these official CMFAS past papers?
No. CMFAS KAKI provides original practice and mock questions written to match the CMFAS syllabus. They are not official examination papers, and the app is not affiliated with MAS, IBF or any examination institute. Use them for study and self-assessment only.
What is the CMFAS exam?
CMFAS stands for Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services. The exams are licensing papers that candidates take to be authorised to carry out regulated financial-advisory and insurance activities in Singapore. Registration, fees and the exact syllabus are set by the official examination body.
What score do I need to pass?
It depends on the paper. SCI currently requires RES 5 candidates to pass both sections: at least 75% for Part I and 80% for Part II. M9, M9A and HI each require 70%. Requirements can change, so always confirm the current pass mark, format and syllabus with the official examination body before you register.
Do I need internet to practise?
No. Questions are cached after the first load, so you can drill offline on the go. There are no pop-up ads to slow you down.
